Can I get historical data for my X (Twitter) profile?

When connecting your X (formerly Twitter) profile to Iconosquare, you might be wondering if you can get all of your historical data. Due to API limitations, access to past data depends on the type of metrics (account-level vs. post-level). Here’s what you need to know.

When does data collection start?

X Analytics has been available in Iconosquare since March 4, 2026.

  • If you connected your X profile to Iconosquare before March 4, 2026, we started collecting your data from that date onward.

  • If you connected your X profile after March 4, 2026, we start collecting data from the date your profile is first connected.

Please note we cannot retrieve account-level data (ex: followers data) from before the connection date or March 4, 2026, depending on when you connected your X profile to Iconosquare.

How much post history can be retrieved?

For post-level data:

  • We can retrieve up to 30 days of historical post data at the time of connection.

  • The X API allows access to a maximum of 3 200 of your most recent posts (tweets).

If you publish a high volume of posts, the 3 200-post limit may restrict how far back we can retrieve historical data. Posts older than this limit cannot be accessed via the API.

Are historical metrics updated over time?

No. Historical data is updated on a 30-day rolling basis only. This means we only refresh metrics for the last 30 days.

For example, if today is May 10, only data from April 10 to May 10 will continue to update.

Older data remains visible in your analytics (if it was previously collected), but its metrics will not refresh beyond the 30-day rolling window.
